Bexar County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
Establishment of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
The Bexar County SART has been operational since January 2020 and serves as a model for state legislation amending Texas Government Code Chapter J. This legislation mandates the establishment of an Adult Sexual Assault Response Team in each county with a population exceeding 250,000. Counties with smaller populations may collaborate to form regional SARTs.
