Virtual Workshop
Course DescriptionVr
In this training, mental health professionals will learn about relevant issues impacting the transgender community, effective ways to connect with transgender clients, and what it means to be a genderaffirmative care provider. Participants will explore why this community is disproportionately impacted by sexual violence, look at the specific needs of LGBTQ+ clients, and engage in dialogue about how to better meet these needs. All participants will leave the session with resources to help enrich their practice and a better understanding of the role they can personally play in supporting the transgender community in San Antonio and beyond.
