People with disabilities are victimized by sexual assault at higher rates than the rest of the population. Some sexual abuse victims cannot report the assault due to health conditions, difficulty communicating, confusion, or memory loss. This training will provide tools to identify signs of abuse. The importance of advocating and being a person’s voice if their disability prevents them from protecting themselves.
