Course Description
Male survivors of childhood sexual abuse may experience challenges to disclose their abuse. This presentation provides guidelines on using creative and expressive modalities in group play therapy with adult male survivors to provide care and support to heal their childhood trauma.

Presenter
Dr. Sunkyung Chung was born and raised in South Korea. After working as an accountant, she decided to pursue her childhood dream to be a counselor and educator, and obtained a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Chung received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from St. Mary’s University and has conducted research on minorities and immigrants, including acculturation and mental health issues in counseling. She currently works at The Rape Crisis Center as a child counselor and group therapy facilitator to help sexually assaulted survivors. She teaches graduate school courses as an adjunct professor and practices as a Registered Play Therapist, National Certified Counselor, and Licensed Professional Counselor.
